The Journey:

The partnership of horses and humans has been key to man moving from hunter/gatherer to a point of domination over all of nature.  That journey has been unprecedented, and it is not over.  The time has come to allow horses to give us another gift, as teacher of the intricacies of social interaction.

When Ray Hunt, a master horseman, would say “you come to me thinking that we will be working on your horse, and find that you will be working on yourself”,  I took this to heart.  Little did I know how deep this would go.  My work led to the realization that every horse is born 'knowing' and doing everything that we could ever want from them; therefore horsemanship is not about ‘training’ the horse, but about developing the dialogue necessary to communicate what is needed at that moment.  This process developed my ability to ‘read’ horses and their emotions and how that is integral to social interactions.  It became very clear that horses have much to teach us in this realm.

The Path Forward:

Expand on the work of Master Horsemen like Ray Hunt and Tom Dorrance to work within the horse's nature to develop high level horsemanship skills and to promote those skills and horses brought up under those methods to a broader audience.

Open the door to the extraordinary teacher that horses can be for both riders and non-riders on the nature of social structures.  In order to save our extraordinary home called Earth and the citizens dependent upon its health, we must learn to act as one tribe.  Nature can show us the path.

Intention:

• Pursue Higher levels of Horsemanship under the direction of the Horse

• Provide Events to open the doors to discover unity with the horse.

• Provide Events to explore the intricacies of the nature of social structure

• Document and record this body of knowledge for posterity.
